Robert Sturcken did a wonderful job engineering the music for my songs. The arrangements were beautifully done and I couldn’t be happier with my first professional CD. He has become a partner, a mentor, and a friend. Without his talented ear, incredible patience, and long hours at the studio, my album would not have been possible.

As a parent:
I was impressed how Robert immediately took an enthusiastic interest in finding out more about my daughter's vocal strengths and weaknesses. At the first introductory lesson, he sat right down at the piano and had Alison singing notes in the full spectrum of her range. With that, he was able to quickly form a plan to address what areas she needed to develop. His bright, funny and upbeat style made the instruction all the more effective, and I could tell that Alison was relaxed and engaged.

As a recording artist:
You get much more than you might expect with Robert Sturcken. He's not just an experienced musician, proficient recording engineer, or a focused control room technician. He has a profound passion for the music which is evident in the way he carefully listens to the compositions and understands how each song's lyrics, chord structures and melodies are woven together. This holistic sense gives him an unlimited supply of musical "colors" which he adds to the palette either to use for the final product or to simply consider as an option. I find this current recording project to be both rewarding and challenging as I realize that, with hard work and the trusted guidance of Robert, my songs are developing into a full expression of my art.
